FAQs
What makes your acupuncture and bodywork sessions different?
When you book a session with me, you receive my full presence and undivided attention for a full hour. I work with a single treatment room model, meaning I’m focused solely on you—no juggling multiple rooms or rushing between clients.
This allows for deeper, more customized care, blending acupuncture with bodywork techniques like craniosacral therapy, deep tissue massage, cupping, moxibustion, and energy work.
Why is it important that you focus on just one client at a time?
Because healing requires safety—and safety can’t be rushed.
Multitasking may be common in healthcare, but it doesn’t support the kind of deep, connected work I strive to offer. Research backs this up, but more than that, I know from experience: I do my best work when I’m fully focused on one person at a time. That’s how I can offer treatments that feel thorough, intuitive, and deeply caring.
How much does a session cost?
Each bodywork/acupuncture session is $115 for one hour.
Most clients benefit from treatment on both the front and back of the body, which gives me the time to fully address your concerns and support your healing on all levels.
What happens during a typical session?
No two sessions are exactly alike. Your treatment is based on what you need that day.
We may combine modalities like:
Deep tissue massage to relax muscles before needling.
Moxibustion to warm and move energy.
Cupping after needling to draw out stagnation.
I may combine acupuncture with Craniosacral Therapy-a light hands on modality that shifts patterns of “stuckness” in the body.
You may want to talk with me during the treatment-as you may notice where emotions are stuck in your body and we can work through those patterns as they arise. (Somatic Coaching)
Can I talk during my session?
Absolutely. Sometimes a session we planned for bodywork turns into one where talking through your experience is what’s most needed. With a full hour dedicated to you, we can shift our approach moment to moment—body, mind, or spirit. You don’t have to choose just one way of working.
What kinds of issues do you treat?
I feel confident supporting you with:
Psycho-spiritual healing and personal growth.
Emotional concerns: anxiety, depression, grief, overwhelm.
Reproductive health: menstrual and fertility-related issues.
Acute & chronic pain: headaches, low back pain, neck/shoulder tension, digestive discomfort, menstrual pain.
These can be addressed through acupuncture/bodywork alone or woven into a combined coaching + bodywork approach for even deeper integration.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on healing technique that helps your body relax, unwind, and reset.
I use light touch—often no more than the weight of a nickel—to tune into subtle rhythms in your body, especially around the head, spine, and pelvis. These rhythms reflect how your nervous system is doing, and by listening deeply, I can support areas that are tight, stuck, or holding old tension.
It’s not like a massage—there’s no kneading or pressing—but it can create a powerful sense of release, calm, and clarity. People often say they feel deeply relaxed, more present in their body, or like they’ve had a mental and emotional reset after a session.
Craniosacral work is especially helpful if you're dealing with chronic tension, nervous system overwhelm, headaches, or trauma that feels like it's "stuck in the body."
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people are surprised by how gentle acupuncture actually is. The needles I use are very thin—about the width of a hair—and they're inserted with a lot of care and intention.
You might feel a quick pinch or a dull ache as the needle settles in, but that usually fades within a few moments. Many people describe a sensation of warmth, heaviness, tingling, or a gentle wave moving through the body—which are all signs that the energy is shifting and the body is responding.
And if something doesn’t feel good, we adjust. You're always in control, and your comfort is essential. My goal is to create a space where your body can soften and your nervous system can settle, so we move slowly and intentionally, always working together.
Why would acupuncture or craniosacral therapy help with emotional and spiritual pain?
Because emotional and spiritual pain live in the body, too.
When we’ve been through hard things—especially things that were ongoing or happened when we were young—our bodies often carry the imprint, even long after our minds have moved on. This can show up as chronic tension, a sense of being disconnected or overwhelmed, or like we’re always bracing for something without knowing why.
Acupuncture and craniosacral therapy work directly with the nervous system to create safety, regulation, and flow. They help the body remember what it feels like to soften, to release, to rest. And that opens the door for deeper healing—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually, too.
In this space, your body becomes an ally in your healing—not something to fight against, but something to listen to. We’re not fixing you. We’re creating the conditions for you to reconnect with the wisdom you already carry.
